Bolki Chrome Extension

• No personal data is stored in our servers unless otherwise specified. Bolki does not use any external servers or APIs to store user data.

• If you choose to sign in using your Google account, we use Chrome's identity API to authenticate you. This allows us to sync preferences or enable premium features.
• Sign-in is required to access core functionality of the extension.
• We do not access or store your password or any personally identifiable information beyond authentication tokens.

• Basic anonymized usage data may be collected to help us improve the extension, such as feature usage frequency. This does not include personal or browsing data.
• We do not track your browsing history or collect any information from tabs unless you explicitly activate the extension on that page.

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Permissions Explanation

Bolki requests the following Chrome extension permissions solely to enable intended functionality:

To save your speech preferences and login state.

activeTab:

To access the content of the current tab when the user triggers the extension.

scripting:

To inject content scripts that extract visible or selected text.

identity:

To enable secure sign-in (if applicable).

Permissions are used only in response to direct user interaction and never run in the background without consent.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect any data handled by the extension. Where applicable, authentication is handled via secure OAuth2 flows provided by Google Chrome APIs.

5. Children's Privacy

Bolki is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
